The Ranger quintet closes in on the Panther with the ball. Bouncing back from a tvvo-game loosing streak, the The Rangers suffered their second loss of the sea- l son to the Warriors of Pueblo. With the score fairly l even throughout the game, the Warriors finally gained l and held the lead which vvon the game 38-Al. Again tasting discouraging defeat, our hardwood boysl fought desperately, trying to break the Amphi vvinningl streak. The battle between the Rangers and the Panthers' kept the crowd sitting on the edges of the bleachers until the final buzzer sounded. The effect of this tense meeting vvas in Amphi's favor 35-Al. Purple and Whites clobbered Carl Hayden. The Falcons kept the score close throughout the game, but couldn't atch up to the Ran . ' - - . C 4 gers The final score 46 42 Armstrong hovers over the ball. Beat Catalina! vvas the cry heard throughout the packed gym. And the famous Rincon five were out to do just this. Jackson, Armstrong, Kellogg, Vail and Dickerson proved too much for the hopeful Trojans, and Catalina's strong attempt was With a 6-3 record, Rincon met Phoenix Central. Though the Rangers kept in the game the vvhole vvay, the Bobcats came out Coach King gives the squad a pep-talk in time-out. The Victors. The Score was 52-61. squelched by the Rangers 5l-47.i
