ASKETBALL The Rincon basketball squad coached by Dick 1 King, compiled a 10-8 season record in spite of having only four returning lettermen. The '61-'62 slate began victoriously when the Rangers sunk Sunnyside 48-45. After losing the second game to Tucson 34-41, Rincon bounced back to edge past Yuma 47-45 and Salpointe 38-36. Boosting its record to 4-1, the Ranger team trounced Phoenix Union 54-44. Rincon then lost its next two games to Pueblo 38-41 and Amphi 35-41. The following two games against Carl Hayden and Catalina were won by the Rangers with scores of 46- 42 and 51-47. Then the Rincon team was downed by Phoenix Central, Tucson, and Salioointe before smash- ing St. Mary's 53-45. These were followed by a loss to Pueblo, victories over Camelback and Amiohi, and a defeat by Washington.
