The Rincon Frosh Purple football team chalked up 5 wins to only 2 losses and 1 tie in the '61 season. Under the direction of Coach Joseph Rosbeck, the Purples fought their way over Salpointe, Coach Joseph Rosbeck 186 6 ..... Rincon Rincon Rincon Rincon 12 Rincon 24 Rincon 26 Rincon 19 Rincon 33 Flowing Wells, Amphi, Sunnyside CBJ, and our own Rincon White team. The Frosh tied Pueblo, and tasted bitter defeat only at the hands of Tucson High and Catalina. These young football players have not only tucked away an outstanding season, but also valu- able experience for the future. The Rangers shut out Amphi, Salpointe, Pueblo, and Douglas, tiecl Catalina, and tasted defeat only at the hands of long-time foe Tucson High. With plenty of drive and desire to learn, the Ranger Whites flogged Sunnyside, Salpointe, Amphi, Catalina, and Flowing Wells. They were thwarted by Tucson High, Pueblo, and the Rincon Frosh Purple. After heeding well the instruction they received on football plays, rules, and tactics, these freshman will find places on both the Jayvee and Varsity teams in the future. Rincon 39 ....
