The Ranger cagers opened the ,60-,61 season with a victory over the Tucson Badgers. Rincon then de- feated Sunnyside before falling to Salpointe, the first defeat of the season. The Rangers rebounded back to take Camelback, Amphi, and the first place trophy in the Christmas Tourney. The first game in the New Year took place on january 6th, when the hardwood hellians beat Pueblo. A second loss of the season came for Coach King and his boys when they were overcome by the Catalina Trojans. This blow boosted the Rangers to win their next two games over Amphi and Scottsdale. They suffered their 3rd and final loss of the season to T.H.S. in overtime. The undefeated NVashington Vikings then fell to the Rincon five,,' followed by Salpointe, Carl Hayden, Pueblo, Yuma, and Catalina to chalk up a Ranger 16-3 all over record. li ' we-i T 'f.w fi' W I I ' :::Q ll I 'K L I 4 ' ' .-.,, fa a .
