Tom Barringer dives for the Lancer quarterback. In the sixth game of the season, Rincon fell to the spirited Salpointe Lancers. Hoping for an upset, the Rangers were again disappointed with a 14-6 loss. Rinconis only score came when Tom Maloney shot an 11-yard pass to end Jody Morris, Waiting in the end zone. Noel Pyers hustles in to assist another Ranger defense in grounding the Bobcat ball-carrier. Rangers and Bobcats both scramble for that pigskin. 176 The Rangers traveled to Phoenix to meet their next foes, the Central Bobcats. Since this was our out of town game, many loyal Rangers made the trip to support their team. The game was hard fought, and Rin- i con led in game statistics even though the final score showed a l 26-0 Central victory.
