DEDICATION TO OUR Mr. Rudy Thompson Born in Illinois, jack Frakes came to Tucson at the age of seven. He attended local schools and the San Diego State College where he has done some undergraduate work. His major de- gree work is in the field of psychology with work in the areas of philosophy and history. Since his graduation from the University of Arizona, Mr. Frakes has studied drama and the theater at Stanford University. Since the fall of 1959, Mr. F rakes has been the designer-builder and planner of our excellent Drama Department. 162 Rudy Thompson, head of Rincon's Voc: Music Department, was born in Pennsylvania After completing high school, Mr. Thompson ei rolled for two years of work at the Carnegi College of Technology. After additional stud at XVaynesburg College and the University c Pittsburg, he graduated with a major in Musi and a minor degree in string bass. In Douglas, Arizona, Mr. Thompson serve as Vocal Music Supervisor until 1956. In the year he moved to Tucson for work at Tucso High. Since 1958, we have had Mr. Thompso in our own music department. WORTHY ADVISORS Miss Baldwin is a native of Nogales, Ari- ma. Her graded and secondary education were ken in Tucson Public Schools. Her major de- 'ee in Physical Education was earned at the niversity of Arizona. Some of her graduate udies have been done at Washington College i Washington State. Miss Baldwin,s first love is her present as- gnment as the advisor of the pep squad. If ne could have any wish, she would like to give fery interested girl a chance to be on the ep squad. Si-.K -f '-s-paid' Miss Hilda Baldwin Born in Buffalo, New York, Paul L. Grimes has been a Tucsonian for twenty-seven years. The last four of those years he has been one of our foremost Rincon Rangers. Mr. Grimes holds a Master of Fine Arts De- gree in Band from the University of Arizona. Lucky for us, Mr. Crimes still finds it re- freshing to compose music and lyrics. Our school song and pep songs are his creations. In addition, he composes music for the organ, voice and orchestra. Mr. Crimes serves as the All-State Auditions Chairman. He is well known for his many years in the field of music throughout the state. , Mr. Paul Grimes 163
