GIRL'S STATE es' is Sue Alexander, Gail Rosenthal, Karen Nicholas, Judi Bienstock and Royanne Lebreclit Knot pictured.l Each summer Rincon sends five delegates to Boy's State at Flagstaff C ollege in Flagstaff, Arizona. Chosen by the teachers of Rincon these boys must be of high character and must have been of great service to their school. During the entire week spent at Boyis State, the boys are subject to strict disci- pline, for in this way they receive the full benefits that Boy,s State has to offer them. The delegates are taught how to participate in government, and run for office first on the city level, and then on coun- ty and state level. In this way, and through discussions with county and state officials, they learn the fundamentals of government and gain a greater appreciation of our governmental system.
