The Rincon Rangers started their first AA season with a shut-out victory over the Amphi Panthers. Under the fine leadership of head coach Bill Lovin, they moved on to smash the Coolidge Bears. They suffered their first defeat of the L season at the hands of the Carl Hayden Falcons. By stopping the unsuspecting Catalina Trojans, the Rangers latched on to the 1959 Eastside Grid Championship. Following their victory over C.H.S., the Rangers fell into a three game losing streak being overpowered by Phoenix Central, Salpointe, and Tucson High. The Rangers then completed the season win- ., ning their last three games over Flowing XVells, Sunnyside, X, and Douglas. BILL LOVIN Head Coach gr!
