Determination; Fear; Pride; Taking on the odds and beating them. All characteristics of a Rim Athlete. Long hard practices that paid off as the Scots shone; proving that they would not lay down and admit defeat when victory was so close at hand. Cries of victory; Tears of defeat; Winning; Losing; it ' s all part of the game. Learning to accept winning as well as losing is where the hidden treasure lies. You may soon forget the pythagoream theorem or what the secret of gravity is, but will you ever forget the special moments in which you interacted with one another becoming an unbeatable force of individuals? Will you ever forget that thrill of victory? That knowledge that you are being the best that you can be? The door to life is standing ajar and waiting for the class of 1983 to pass through. Gone are the days of worrying about how many laps coach will make you run because you ' re 5 minutes late. Life. A challenge. One I am sure you will meet with fear as well as confidence.
