The band practiced on the south end of the parking lot on the newly aquired blue lines which came to be known as Fox Memorial Stadium. Participating in concerts for the communi- ty parades and field shows kept the mar- chers on the move. The group traveled to Anahiem for the Anahiem Halloween Parade on October 30, Los Altos for their first field show competition on November 12 and Anahiem again for the Savanna field show tournament. During the Holiday season, the groups performed at Christmas happenings in Blue Jay, Crestline, the Village and the Hilton. The annual Christmas concert was held on December 13. The band and tali flags were led by Captain Julie Goodwin and lieutenant Chriss Laton; Drill Team ' s leadership was captian Lisa Miller and lieutenant Ann Boyd; Scottish Dance team was led by Robin Goldsworthy Captain and lieutenant Kristi Ross; The Bag pipe corp was lead Captain David Koch and lieute- nant Jason Sharp. All groups grew in size, spirit and comradery. The season started off in late August with pre-school rehearsals in the morning then in the evenings, but all this hard work payed off when the group was noted as be- ing bigger and better when they took the field at the first home game. Rehearsals were held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:30 to 4:30. i hoin Led by James B. Gibford the 1982-83 Choir and Ensemble will always be remembered. The highlight of the year was a co- performance with Big Bear. Rim hosted Big Bear for a day, then that evening put on a concert. This was a learning ex- perience both musically and socially. Many fund raising events were held in- cluding a bowl-a-thon at Rim Lanes, a spaghetti dinner, as well as selling Christmas ornaments. The groups worked together under the leadership of officers Scott Rosenow, President; Michelle Kinder- man, Vice President; Sharee Foley, Secretary; and Carrie Oversby, Treasurer for Choir. Ensemble of fleers were President Debby Brewer, Vice President Kristin Winch, Secretary Oinine Miserski, and Treasurer Genia Postoy.
