i hild Uevelopment The ROP Child Development program at Rim High has been in existence for the past five years under the instruction of Jan Ross. For most of those years, the program was held at her preschool, Four Seasons, in Rim Forest. The pro- gram was moved to the Rim High cam- pus in February 1981. The children in the preschool are brought by their parents to the school to spend a three-hour day. Children usually attend two or three times week- ly. Since the-school is operated under the auspices of the Rim School District, the program can accommodate children of many ages. Rim High students are involved with the program each year, and during the 19821983 school semester, fifteen students are enrolled. Each of the students is given assignments to com- plete and activities to do with the children. This gives the Rim students a chance to see what a preschool pro- gram offers. It also gives them the chance to find out what preschool children are really like in a classroom situation. In return, the preschool children have the opportunity to work SOO — R.O.P.-Child Development

The equipment has helped the students process their ideas. The newesy equip- ment is worth $75,000.00 and is a true asset to the Graphics Department. A special thanks goes to Richard Turner and the Graphic Arts program from The 1983 Pibroch Staff. Time and time again, the Graphics crew assisted with the big deadline. Thank you for all the hard work you ' ve done throughout the year. . E Graphics — X Sf Sf

with several adults in a classroom situa- tion. The children come to love the Rim students and vice-versa. Each Rim student is given 30 credits for each semester they are enrolled, if they can take two class periods each semester. Having the preschool on the Rim cam- pus offers high schoolers, parents, and staff members the chance to have a centrally located classroom that is easy to reach, even if the weather is bad.
