R.O.P. In 1963, the regional occupational pro- gram was introduced into the law. in 1968, nine R.O.P. centers sprang up in California, in one year. This program provides instruc- tion for entry level employment, for ad- vanced training or for upgrading of skills. The instructors are credentialed specialists from business and industry. Employers in the community provide expert consultants and promote student placement. The classes are offered on campus as well as in local businesses. Classes are offered anytime of the day, any day of the week, anytime of the year. School credit can be earned for taking classes in the program. Over three hundred students at Rim are in- volved in this growing and interesting program. 196 — R.O.P.

The members of the Executive Board, composed exclusively of seniors, did an outstanding job throughout the year. The efforts of both the Executive Board and the representatives to Congress, kept Rim students well informed and actively involv- ed in student government.
