tudent vjovernment Starting the year off under the leadership of John Lubisich and Debbie Nunn, A.S.B. decided that it was time to put things in order and start going by the book. R.O.P. In 1963, the regional occupational pro- gram was introduced into the law. in 1968, nine R.O.P. centers sprang up in California, in one year. This program provides instruc- tion for entry level employment, for ad- vanced training or for upgrading of skills. The instructors are credentialed specialists from business and industry. Employers in the community provide expert consultants and promote student placement. The classes are offered on campus as well as in local businesses. Classes are offered anytime of the day, any day of the week, anytime of the year. School credit can be earned for taking classes in the program. Over three hundred students at Rim are in- volved in this growing and interesting program. 196 — R.O.P.
