i:.S.F. L.A.P.G. California Scholarship Federation was a statewide organization recognizing young men and women for academic excellence. Rim included its honored students among the 65,000 scholars in 1000 California chapters. It accepted students who had a 3.6 grade point average or better in academic subjects. Top seniors were awarded gold cords at graduation for their achievement of being a member four semesters or more. Discounted Dodger baseball tickets and Disneyland trips were some of the benefits of being in the top tenth percentile of all students in Califor- nia. The club advisor was Mr. Lakatos. C.S.F. members included: Chris Colas, Libby Hamilton, Julie Kepford, Leslie Boquette, Denise Hurd, Charlene Jimenez, Keri Kimes, Mike Rosedale, Scott Rosenow, Cheryl Scott, Gary Glouner, Mr. Lakatos, Michele Smith, Kate Scavone, Gary Estrella, Shannon Walsh, Mia Lawrence, Tina Ibbs, Jennifer Moore, Anna Silvey, Elizabeth Hert, Barbara Duckworth, Peter Yang, Kirk Stowe, Stephen Jayne, Larry Green, Kirsten Olsen, Julie Miller, Carol Victor, Jeff Bott, John Eck, Dan Underwood, Steve Mc- Creery, Kim Weiss, Lindsay Collins, Cristine Guzzard, Lisa Hudson, tiikki Steuerwald, Joel Nelson, Jenny Aman, B. Lake Arrowhead ' Pretty Girls was a spirit club which came into being this year. This club ' s main function was raising funds for the school. V arsity l rackpota The Varsity Club proved to be most promi- nant in promoting school spirit. The club work together with sponsor Coach Tim Steel to hold various fund raisers such as the Donkey Basketball game which was most successful. Members include: Vanilla Thunder, Italian Stalian, David R. Ybarra Jr. (Yatary), Margaret Harris (Oreo), Stacy Williams, Cipper Hargreaves (V.P.), Bird Gregson (President), Zane G. Boyster II, Steve Lee. Crackpots, under the supervision of Gerry VomSteeg, has become one of the most ac- tive clubs on campus. The clubs ' main purpose is to promote creativity among our schools ' talented ceramic students. Each year they sell their art work in the community, with the money going to sup- port the club and the student activities. J.V. Cheer Providing spirit for the underclass, the J.V. Cheer squad participated in rallies, games and dances. Cinder the leadership of advisor, Dave Lawrence, the girls spent long hours in practice to perfect routines. In addition, poster parties, long bus rides and em- phasis on balance in mounts prepared the squad for tryouts for the Varsity squad.
