Flying Buffalo S. Cluh In the beginning there was Lhaos, but then arose Rim ' s most active club, the Flying Buffalo. Under its first Pharoah Kurmly Lu Wopa and the wisdom of the glorious high priest Hamlikar Barka. Then there evolved the proverbial spirit of the buffalo, which is still alive today under his most supreme, glorious, omnipotent, majesty, the seventh Pharoah of the Flying Buffalo Sobe k Khufu and his faithful scribe Ralion Korian. Under Sobek Khufu ' s reign there continued the tradition of the BK, 221 Baker St. and Patrol, along with other new games. Members include: Greg DiCarlo (Pharoah), David Bax- ter, David Aitken, Pat Heitz, David Gauthier, Jim Bas, Rob Rush (Scrilx), Chris Beekman, Chris Farrell, Bill Ebaugh, Greg Goebel, Kirk Stowe, Pat Nowak. S Club was the Service Club on campus. Students who were civic-minded and cared about the school and community were part of this club! Projects included donating a Thanksgiving dinner to a needy family, a canned food drive for the needy, showing new students to classes, making posters for the school, community activities, campus cleanup, serving as ushers usherettes at Civic Light Opera, school activities, plus many more. The students in this club were the people who really cared and proved it.! 178 — Flying Buffalo S Club

3 .eadership ,lj« A.JN m. Terrorizing Mrs. Hardt, satisfying every student ' s hunger pains by filling the Tom ' s machine, the numerous poster sessions in which we all drew together and displayed our artistic (nt) ability and witty humor so the rest of the school would know what was happening. All the little things that everyone overlooked were ac- complished by leadership. (Jncle Joe Matthews kept us in line, and filled our time with numerous war stories and good ' ol times. We had little to show for our good times, but the memories were inmeasurable. Inventory was screwy, thanks to the Leadership Class of 82-83. An almost ac- complished fish sale was the big event. The biggest accomplishment in leadership was the making of friends. We all learned to give and take (especially food, drink, sweat-shirts . . .) and to be a friend! Leadership members include: Jay Hassman, Lori Reiger, Kristin Krause, Guy Hargreaves, Shanna Wat son, Kim Hess, Sonja Zamaitat, Cherry Parker, Jay Gregson, Nancy Montes, Tim Clark, Bill Johnson, Elaine Schurter, Shay Jensen, Dave Harich, Tina Ibbs, Sharee Foley, Jenny Aman, Derik Anderson, Judy Miller, Patti Edwards, (Jncle Joe, Lisa Helsper, Teresa Coleman, Buddy Crisp. Within the hearts of the young are unwrit- ten stories and unsung songs, their minds can paint vivid pictures of adventure and excitement. C.L.A.M. tried to provide an outlet for the writers and artist at Rim. It encouraged the students to use their talents to the benefit of the entire student body. C. L.A.N, members include: Rollin Ruggles, Todd Velie, Mike Scorziell, Jill Hayhurst, Melinda Bandick, Robyn Eygnor, Elaine Schurte. 180 - Leadership C.L.A.N.
