Guess Who Many students participated in the fun on Bizarre Hair Day , Halloween and many other occasions. Looking down the halls, one would of seen a couple of unique styles of dress. Rock-a-Billy ' s had their own style from their hair down to their feet. Rock-a-Billy was a mixture of Rock and Hillbilly originated in the late fifties with Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley. Bringing back this boppin ' sound were groups named The Blasters, The Stray Cats, King Bees and many others. Another music-orientated fad became popular during the year. MOD ' s were juvenated by groups like The Who, and newer groups such as Madness. The Who helped renovate these rockers into a new breed. Two tones were first introdu ced at Rim at the beginning of the year with their trench coats, British flags and respas, MODern MOD groups such as the Specials, Untouchables, and of course, Madness, have helped establish their style as a strong force. All the fads and styles have kept many of us on our toes looking out for the new trends to appear. Life at Rim will always be unique as long as there are some students willing to go beyond the everyday standard of living. lea - Student Life
