S oreiener This program gives students all around the globe the opportunity to live in a foreign country. This experience can show students how other students live and learn. The foreign exchange students at Rim have seemed to get along well and make many new friends. Mow is a sad time for these friends because the foreign ex- change have all learned and shared with each other an unforgettable experience. My name is Jannie Jerup. 1 come from a town called Hals in the northern part of Denmark. 1 live there with my mom and dad and my little sister. Before 1 came to the United States, 1 went to another high school and graduated from the tenth grade. In Denmark you only need to go to school for ten years. Here in school you have the same classes every day at ten minutes to eight. In Denmark we have dif- ferent classes every day and we meet at different times depending on when our classes start. The school isn ' t as strict in Denmark as it is here. Here in the U.S. I live with the Heeres ' fami- ly in Sky Forest. They are very nice and have done a lot for me. 1 also have many friends and enjoy going to football games and dances. My favorite American song is Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd. My name is Brita Lindquist and 1 am from Sweden. 1 came on the foreign exchange program to get away from my usual life and tough schooling and to be able to have the fine experience of learning of a new culture. 1 am living with the Exline ' s and am really glad I have such a nice family to live with. 1 really like America because of the many possibilities of things you can do. »ln Southern California you can go to the beach, the mountains and the desert on the same day. 1 like going to Rim High School. 1 especially like being able to choose the classes that 1 want and am in- terested in. I also enjoy being in a small school because you have better relation- ships with the teachers. Some of my interests are skiing, schooling, sailing, volleyball and going out sailing with my windsurfer. At Rim High School 1 am taking stats for the girls ' basketball team. John Lubisich served as the Associated Student Body President. He has proven to be an individual with many talents. It is evi- dent that he places a grea t importance on academics and also doing well in everything he endeavors. He was a fine leader with many qualities. It has been both a great enjoyment and privilege serving as your A.S.B. President. Throughout the course of the year, I have done my utmost to represent the in- dividual concerns and desires of a vast stu- dent body striving toward a common goal: success. By working together and learning through each other, we have, in a sense, achieved that aim. I sincerely hope this school year has been as rewarding for all of you as it has been for me. Best of luck in the future. John Lubisich ASB President Buddy Crisp served as the Senior Class President. He has showed an extreme amount of enthusiasm and school spirit, and has been successful in planning school activities throughout the year. He has plac- ed an interest in the people of the school and getting to know them. He is a person of high caliber with great potential. Well, our high school years at Rim are gone. It seems as though it was only yesterday we were wandering the halls as curious freshmen. We were all wondering what the next four years had in store for us. I believe the time spent here at Rim was great, but I can ' t help wondering what is going to happen to the graduating Class of 83. We are now going to take exciting steps in our lives. We are now going out in- to the real world all of our teachers have told us about. We have the potentials to be anything we want to be, that is the beauty of America. So take full advantage of this opportunity. Who knows maybe we can all see each other again ... Buddy Crisp Senior Class President Student Life - 1 1
