3L hings V V e aid J. oday. Mr. Matthews has worked in the school district for 27 years and in this time has had quite an influence in the Student Government and school leadership. He has dealt directly with the students and for the most part respects their views and ideas. He has added fine guidance and support to the school leaders and really puts in a lot of time helping them. In my opinion the Student Body Govern- ment should be constantly concerned with the needs of its constituents. However, stu- dent leaders should be aware at all times that the primary concern of any school is the education of the students. With this in mind the Student Body Officers should be involved with both of the above concerns. 1 feel that the Student Body Leaders have done an admirable job of providing well planned activities for their constituents with a constant concern regarding the needs of the education of the school. This year ' s Assocated Student Body Of- ficers and representatives are to be congratulated. Joseph V. Matthews Vice Principal. Mrs. Hardt has been the backbone for the student leaders and their activities. Most would agree that without her, the activities could never have been successfully brought about. She is an extraordinary per- son who does so much and really gets to know the students. The school leadership and general student body are very for- tunate to have such a dynamic, understan- ding person working with them. The associated Student Body of Rim High School have elected representatives to the Congress to control all activities, fund raisers, and expenses incurred by any club or class on campus. The ASB Congress has learned to truly represent all the Rim students in passing a new constitution, which laid a much broader base on which to operate. 140 — student Ufe

John Lubisich served as the Associated Student Body President. He has proven to be an individual with many talents. It is evi- dent that he places a grea t importance on academics and also doing well in everything he endeavors. He was a fine leader with many qualities. It has been both a great enjoyment and privilege serving as your A.S.B. President. Throughout the course of the year, I have done my utmost to represent the in- dividual concerns and desires of a vast stu- dent body striving toward a common goal: success. By working together and learning through each other, we have, in a sense, achieved that aim. I sincerely hope this school year has been as rewarding for all of you as it has been for me. Best of luck in the future. John Lubisich ASB President Buddy Crisp served as the Senior Class President. He has showed an extreme amount of enthusiasm and school spirit, and has been successful in planning school activities throughout the year. He has plac- ed an interest in the people of the school and getting to know them. He is a person of high caliber with great potential. Well, our high school years at Rim are gone. It seems as though it was only yesterday we were wandering the halls as curious freshmen. We were all wondering what the next four years had in store for us. I believe the time spent here at Rim was great, but I can ' t help wondering what is going to happen to the graduating Class of 83. We are now going to take exciting steps in our lives. We are now going out in- to the real world all of our teachers have told us about. We have the potentials to be anything we want to be, that is the beauty of America. So take full advantage of this opportunity. Who knows maybe we can all see each other again ... Buddy Crisp Senior Class President Student Life - 1 1
