J5ack0n 1 rack. The Varsity Track Teams did very well. New records were set by Ellen Simmons in the discus competition and she was within inches of setting a new shot put record at press time. Wayne Davis flew in the pole vault as did Becky Valentine in the sprints. With winter withering away, the Varsity Scots showed their power in areas of com- petition and will surely be contenders for the League Title. Upper The Rim Girls are On the Run. ' ood The J.V. Track Team was a great asset to the Rim High Sports Teams. Placing first in the Annual 29 Palms Invitational was a huge achievement for the team and they proved that being young helps in many ways. Leading the team were Tom Finke and Dave Conklin. Other members of the team included Mike Cumberland, Roger Fenger, Keith Rosser, Paul Eide, Chad Ka- jfasz, Phil Martin, Larry Ybarra, Jeff Dyer, Jim Taylor, Jesse Reynoso, Brennan Col- ton, Dan Evans, Mark Boyer, Brad Freeman, Pat Williams and Dan Hardt.
