Juilttor peed In it ' s second year of existence, the Varsity Soccer Team showed great effort and pride, on the field as well as off. Posting a 3-2 record, the Varsity Scots did their best to keep up the tradition of winning teams at Rim. Being led by seniors Todd Johnson, Dave Rasmussen, Jose Corona, and exchange student Sak Promlek, the team kept their spirits up through rain or shine. Also con- tributing greatly to the team were Jim Musgrave, Kirk Stowe, and Dave McCar- ral. A special thanks goes to Coach Harold Eichelt, Karl Ruetzel, and Mr. Jim Musgrave for his support and individual help to the team. X £ — Varsity Soccer

m nowblind. If you happened to see a group of students out on the football field performing strange dances and gestures, don ' t be alarmed! It was probably the ski team members doing a snow dance encouraging Mother Nature to grace the slopes with her mantel of white gold. In spite of the diminishing amounts of snow, the 31 member ski team did not give up hope. The team spirit and morale was high and outlook optimistic for a suc- cessful season. At press time, the skiers were practicing at Snow Valley for upcoming races to be held at Goldmine, Big Bear, and then Mam- moth. At the annual Intermountain Races at Mammoth, the skiing Scots compete against Bishop, Lone Pine, Mammoth High School, and Levining, among other schools in that area. The ski team roster includes returning let- termen Jeff Lupear, Tim Hubbs, Kent Buechner, Jeff Thacker, Scott Sessions, Kathleen Hubbs, Cindy Williams, Jenny Williams, Denise Bacon, and Stephanie Morris. Other members of the team in- clude John and Kevin Fay, Dave Harich, Stephen Jayne, Craig Hobart, Jon Roberds, J. P. Barcena, Troy Biehler, Alex Jeff Lupear is a Winter Wonderland. ' as.
