This season may be coined as a bit of a wash-out, but the next few years promise to bring quite a few exciting victories for the Scots. 1) Up for the rebound, Carrie Milsap proves it ' s all Automatic. 2) Stacy Williams thinks she ' s the Sole Survivor. 3) Jill Hayhurst stands by hoping that Stacy Williams can get the ball One Way or Another. V athsof V ictory For the girls of the varsity basketball team, the 1982-83 season marked a rebuilding year. Because of injuries and graduation, there were only three returning members. With seniors Stacy Williams, Stacy Sunny, and junior Melinda Bandick as the nucleus. Coach Dave Lawrence was able to mold a pretty respectable team. A delight for the Scots is French phenomenon Katrine Gar- con. She has been able to fill in the void at high post that was vacated by a graduated player. The rest of the team is comprised from last year ' s J.V. squad. This fact brings depth to the team, something that Coach Lawrence has been without for the past years. The pleasant surprise for Rim has been senior Geri Peterson. Let ' s VJet 1 hysicaL With hours of work behind every minute of competition, the Rim Varsity Wrestling Team shows its foes what it can do with some proven veterans and many new faces. Excellent seasons turned in by Derek Anderson, Brad Ciauson, Scott Bailey, Doug Wilson, Mark Curry, and returning state finalist Scott Heitz were complimented by the outstanding perfor- mances put forth by sophomores Pat Heitz, Frank Hill, Oscar Ortega, Chris Chandler, Mark Cadrin, and returning league champion Mike Wyatt. With this much young talent, the Rim Wrestlers threaten to be a wrestling powerhouse for many years to come.
