un The J.V. crosscountry team of 82-83 prov- ed that they were more than ready for the challenge of grueling practices. Being a J.V. team member is tough enough without the hours of running, shin splints, etc. that go along with being a cross coun- try runner. The were faced with a severe challenge, but never cowered from it. The Yucaipa In- vitational was the pay-off for all of their long strenuous hours of work. Taking first in the Yucaipa Invitational gave them all the confidence that was needed. They soon went on to have an outstanding season. Coach Paul Moore feels very privileged to have such a talented group of runners and looks forward to working with them in seasons to come. Dwayne Halterman is so close to the Borderline.
