-IheD troke The Girls Varsity Tennis team smashed the Sunkist League with their talent. Oustanding in league, as their undefeated record shows, The Scots were feared by many and challenged by few. The team consisted mainly of seniors. Led by captain Patti Edwards and co-captain Kris Freeman, the team could not lose. With many inspirational as well as talented players on the team, they created a force that could not be stopped. The singles proved strong and ready to face the challenges of this season ' s tough competition. They consisted of 1 Julie Brownell, 2 Kris Freeman, and 3 Cindy Kramer. The doubles drew together to become a force of six girls that could not be beat. 1 during league was Robin Rosedale and Anna Silvey, 1 in C.l.F. and Individuals, Patti Edwards and Courtney Exline (they also went through league not losing a single set . . . impressive . . .) and 3 Kathryn David and Shannon Walsh. Receiving the coach ' s award was Amy Mc- Curdy. Livening up our grueling (nt) prac- tices with their jokes of F.R. D.P. C.F. and B.C. was the doubles team of Nancy Bodor and Allison Lerner. With such talent remaining as Courtney Exline, Cindy Gramer, Allison Lerner and Nancy Bodor (little sister to the ever famous Jim) it looks as if was Sunkist League can be prepared to be blown to pieces by the Rim Scots next year.
