e Are the C hampions . . . The challenge was there again, to be at- tempted and gained. It was done last year; could it be done again? With the determination and talent of the Varsity volleyball team that question was answered in a positive way. Yes, for the se- cond time in a row they brought home the State Championship, a feat never ac- complished before in all of California. It was an exciting season not only for the team but for the entire school. The support from parents, community, teachers, and students was tremendous. The team walked away with a 21-0 record which included four challenging games with 4-A schools Irvine, Corona Del Mar, Laguna, and Westminster. They placed se- cond in two tournaments and first in another. The team consisted of some very talented players coupled with great coaching by Bill Dickson and Jill Whitney.
