THE RODEO 1942 Fl'2SI'Il'l1Cl'l F3 Donal Rolfe Lael Grover Jean Swager Dullon Later Presudent Vuce President Secretary Advusor Thus year has been actuve and a busy one for we Freshmen When we entered school un September we encountered many strange faces and perplexung problems but gradually as we became accus tomed to our new envuronment and began to Joyung ourselves ummensely Sunce then our Freshman year has brought us many good tumes At the begunnung of our school year we elected the followung as our class offucers Don Rolfe presudent Lael Grover vuce presudent Jean Swager, secretary and Mr Later advusor One of our most outstandung actuvutues was the organuzatuon of a J HS Pep Club by an ambutuous group of gurls The members elected Wymoa Worcester presudent Marguerute Kurt land vuce presudent and Mary Lou Taylor secretary treasurer They chose for theur cheer leaders the followung gurls Barbara Walker and Shurley Kunghorn nunth grade and Molley Later eughth grade On St Patrucks Day they sponsored a Red Cross Benefut Traffuc Dance A sum of S530 was raused by sellung pop and candy and payung one cent funes for vuolatung the law ' At one tume durung the year we presented a patruotuc assembly the theme of whuch struck We are very proud of our Freshman basket ball team These boys have made an envuable record durung the past wlnter months loslng only two games to other schools We have also led the Junlor Hugh un the pur chase of Defense Stamps and Bonds As thus was wrutten the nunth grades total amount us S535 85 Muss Kelsey s room alone has S322 And so wuth a successful and pleasant year behund us we regretfully bud goodbye to our Junuor Hugh School days We suncerely hope that three years from now we shall transmut thus school not only not less but greater bet ter and more beautuful than ut was transmutted to us Who us as fresh as any breezes and only as tall as der Senuors kneeses and pays up all der dues and feezes DER FRESHMEN Thus Page Sponsored By SWAGER MOTOR COMPANY A ff, ' , A lv ,, ,, A N X 1 Q ' - make new friends, we found that we were en- a timely note.
