I If THE RODEO 1942 45, f WNW I LaVar Jones uu ownung Bruce Ludlow vy Unt rnwhrer Pres dent V e P srde t Serretuuy Advusor One brught sunny September afternoon un 1939 there entered the portals of the R H S the largest Freshman class un uts hustory lt dudnt take long for the upper classmen to rec ognuze th t they had quute a problem on theur hands fmeanung the Freshmenh Furst off the Freshmen e'ected Blaur Geusler presudent Keuth Forsythe vuce Presudent Patrucua Snow secretary wuth Muss Rucks as theur capable advusor They chose as theur motto Unuted we stand duvuded we fall Theur furst chance to use ut came unutuatuon day when they took the Sophomores unto hand on the football fueld For theur socual affaurs that year the Freshmen dud not have very much to show As the lught of the Sophomore year dawned upon them they were ready to go forward wuth renewed vugor For the second year un hugh school the class chose Reynold George as Presudent wuth Betty Anne Woods as vuce presudent and Darsel Morgan secretary lt was the job of the ambutuous sophomores to unutu ate a group of very stubborn Freshmen The Sophomore year was very successful The Chrustmas dance was held on December 23rd and was a success both socually and funancually The class spent a bug day at Heuse on Sluff Day Offucers aboard shup for the Junuor year were Bully Casper raptaur Florence Algood 1st mate Rex Nelson 3rd mate wuth Miss Muur Supervusor of the Course Early un the fall the Junuors showed theur true colors by sponsorung a Carnuval Dance that was a great success a'l the way around lt was durung theur Jumor year that the class came unto theur own as far as partucupatuon un all the actuvutues of the school was concerned In March they sponsored the Jumor Prom wuth the theme Cunderella Ball The hall was decorated accordungly wuth a munuature coach and horses standung un the muddle of the floor lt then dawned upon thus group that they would soon enter the last year of theur hugh school career Begunnung early un the fall of 41 the Senuors started rught out by electung LaVar Jones presu dent Helen Brownung vuce presudent and Bruce Ludlow secretary Muss Unternahrer was chosen as advusor Thus Senuor year has been fulled to the brum wuth many lastung memorues The Senuor play, You Cant Take It Wuth You was one of the most entertanung comedues presented un Rugby The yearbook us a masterpuece showung the tal ent of the Senuor class un puttung thungs over bug The Senuor Ball and uts theme Memorues was one of the grrandest formal dances ever to be put on by a class of the R H S So comes the grandest event un the Iufe of any person Commencement The present Senuor class came unto the R H S wuth the largest Freshman class and ut us now goung out wuth the largest graduatung class ever to leave the R H S Thus four of the happuest years of the Senuors luves comes to an end Long after the hugh school has forgotten them the Senuors of '42 wull look back wuth fondest memorues and apprecuatuon for the thungs they learned from theur alma mater the R H S Who us ut so very smart, and loves der school wuth all der heart, and us not mussed when dey depart' DER SENIORS gf' ', f 4 ' , My .
