Robb helps Mr. Thompson get supplies from science stock room. lvlathematics and science play important parts in the education of Ridley Township students, for they learn that science and math are not merely school suhjects whose rules and laws they have to memorize, hut a real and vital part of their lives and of the world that moves around them. All students have general work in mathematics in the seventh and eighth grades. Beginning with the ninth grade, thox students who have ahility in mathematics and thox who plan to enter college fol- low a course in mathematics that includes two years of algehra. plane and solid geometry, and trigonomf etry. Students not preparing for college may take general mathematics in the ninth grade and a course in mathematics for the consumer in the tenth grade. XV.1rk in mathematics is tied up as closely as possible with the real life experiences of students. so that it
