As the curtain rises, Pat Holmes is greatly disturbed by her father's second marriage. Pat's father has married her former school teacher, and Pat is determined to make her stepmother feel unwanted. Pat's other problem is to prevent Freddie, her one- and-only, from paying too much attention to Annabelle. BUTTITY, Alyra, and Rosie help her in the conspiracy. In the midst of the excitement, her precocious movie-star sister appears on the scene with her Aunt Florence. Aunt Florence has adopted little Gloria and plans to make her a great star. Gloria becomes acquainted with her family and her sister's friends. She decides that these days are much more pleasant than the hectic days in Hollywood. Pat and Bummy, in order to carry out their plan, tell Gloria to scream for help while she is in swimrring. She does, and Vicki, Pat's stepmother, has to rescue Gloria, as Pat refuses to do so because she knows Gloria is capable ot' swimming. FOOTBALL Early this season Doc', Cornog, with the assistance of line coach, Mr. Urevig, molded the boys into a squad which held great prospects in the field for the future. Despite the many injuries incurred by the members, the team made a showing of which everyone can be proud. All the games were hard fought---resulting in three wins, one tie, and tive losses. XVe won our first two games against Collingdale and Lans- downe. At this point our team took a nose-dive and was beaten by Hledia, Springfield, and Chester. The next game against Darby resulted in a tie. Our team was then beaten by Eddystone and Ridley Township, two of the best teams in the league. Our Thanksgiving Day game, the last of the season, ended in a victory over Prospect Park. Robert llaebel, right end, suffered a broken jaw during the Spring- field game. Ralph Ashworth broke his wrist during the Bledia battle. Roy Keeler sutlered a knee injury during the first half of the Springheld contest. Robert Howell was unable to participate in a number of the games because of an injured knee. The team went on to defeat Clifton Heights, 28f26, and Ridley Township, -1-le-12, but in the semi- finals Eddystone defeated the Parkers, 55-55, in a thrill- ing game for the third time during the season. This was a tough one to lose. In a consolation game the Parkers again defeated Prospect, 46-58, and thereby gained possession of third place in the Kiwanis. The Seniors on the team were: Duncan Callaway, Nelson Durand, Robert Haebel, Leon Benjamin, Robert Smith, Charles Densmore, Richard Bostedo, Leslie Plumb, and Iohn Sutton. Sutton left early in the season for the Navy. These fellows did a swell job. Robert Smith was made a member of the Kiwanis All-Stars, Leon Benjamin a member of the second team, and Robert Haebel received honorable mention.
