Pres. - M. Glantz V. Pres. - 1. Aiello Sec. - 1. Dunn Tres. - H. Brian Class Advisor - Mr. Grandinetti A new door opened for us five years ago and we entered the High School with great enthusiasm. We were the little people of the school. We were little, but our dreams were big. It started off with making new friends, sharing lockers, buying gymsuits, and our first record hop. Yet, we didn't stop here, for we had alot more to ex- plore. We experienced such things as crowded classrooms, lunch periods, and study halls. As time went on, we got ourselves es- tablished and more new doors opened. We had money raising projects such as dances and selling pizzas. The first few years had gone by and they will be imprinted in our minds forever. As we started our Sophomore year we were busy thinking of the future years at RHS. We'll never forget our good times in class with Mr. Catalano and Driver's Training and our birthday whacks from Mr. Burkhouse. This was a big year for us because we ordered our class rings. Boy what confusion! We entered our junior year with alot to look forward to like getting our class rings, decorating for the Prom, Pieces of April and of course college boards. As we entered our Senior year we had even more to look forward to than the year before. We were now the big people of the high school. We ex- perienced such things as having an undefeated football team for two years in a row and homecoming - Diane Prechtl, queen, plan- ning for the Sno-Ball An Old Fashioned Christmas and the Senior trip, Williamsburg. Also, we had the best magazine sale ever. As the short time before graduation came upon us, we never forgot what we experienced those last few years at RHS. After graduation, another door will open for us and we'll enter it with the same enthusiasm as we did five years ago. But, whatever new door we enter, we'lI always remember our great experiences at RHS and the great Class of '76. 1oHN F. Almo A KAREN M. Ausuouss CYNTHIA A. Their main goal is to raise enough money totake a trip to Pittsburgh to learn more about the Latin heritage. The French Club is made up of French ll and Ill students and meets during class time. lt is not like other clubs in that it does not have fund raising projects. They see films of France, read French newspapers and some students have penpals in France which they write to. This way the students learn more about France and the kind of living that goes on. The P.A. Announcers are responsible for making mor- ning and after noon announcements. Without these peo- ple, the students and teachers would not know about cer- tain activities that go on in the school. Another important group of people in the school are the Elker Pride Club. She made friends quickly attending school functions and parties. Lilian's family was the family of Mr. and Mrs. Donald johnson of Pine St. Lilian, era un placsir graude tenerla eu nuestra escuela. The Elkers compiled a 15-16 record in the regular season, finishing second overall and first in class AA Alkin League standings. Many exciting victories marked the Elkers season, including a thrilling 67-66 vic- tory over johnsonburg. For the first time in many years the Elkers made it to the District 9 playoffs and they opened with an exciting 68-64 victory over Curwensville. On the second step toward the District Championship the Elker's fell to Brookville after a fierce struggle, 57-50. The Elker's continued in this double elimination tournament, however, they lost at the hands of Moniteau 71-60. Once again we congratulate the Elker's for completing one of the finest seasons of basketball in Ridgway's history. Senior Lettermen john Aiello jim Urmann McGuig Scorekeeper: H. Thompson, M. Morrelli, 1. Carlson, R. Brunner The 1975 Ridgway Elker squad holds all of the school's records, and they made it look easy. They finished their second consecutive undefeated season with a win over arch rival lohnsonburg. The Elkers have now won 21 games in a row, and finished the season with the mark for the most points scored with 328 while tying the record for fewest points surrendered in a season with 13. The juniors on the team have never tasted a loss, and never before have so many sophomores been placed in the starting line-up. But the seniors have the honor and prestige shining on them, and have one of the longest winning streaks in the entire state. In the process they racked up their second consecutive Bucktail Conference, Alkin League and the mythical Elk County titles. Coach Zwald has also achieved a first for his career with back to back undefeated years. The long hours of practice, the hard work, and the constant drilling from the coaches can be reason enough for our winning season. But this year the team had some very special support. The Ridgway Elker Band has offered their continuous pride in the team, and the cheerleaders were always there. Homecoming Queen Diane Precthl was crowned at the auditorium because of the torrent of rain after the Sheffield game. After having one of the happiest Halloween nights ever, the season wasn't quite over. Quattrone's camp was secured, and the team and friends were due for a celebration. This offically closed the season, with high hopes for next year . . . 3 in a row. 1975 ft -Ce Qt Q - R 'NK 'D ex J X QQ , i3 T351 5Q,,,,5QQ,57 1 Q - , 'C ' t , , r- S , C . 959 t hh 3155 E 1- t 9 1 - k k fk h b I ll ll l I d hl h I b ll h II I bl I h I ll ,I lh II 1 h k fk f d Ih Congratulations To Our Undefeated Football Team For Gbtaining A 9-0-0 Record For The Second Consecutive Year Bucktail Conference Champs Alkin League Champs Senior A- wk .
