ramalfica This year the Dramatics Club had as its new advi- ser, Mr. Ludwig. Students interested in dramatics took part in various activities such as monologues, origin- al one-act plays, make-up and stage demonstrations, and debates. Throughout the school year nine issues are run off by the commercial department. Several issues have feature articles by the administrators and creative works bv students. Other lighter items covered were dances, recreational activities, assemblies, and chit-chatf, The staff are given two weeks to gather news and write the stories. These go to Mrs. Harvey, the adviser. where they are proof-read. The students receive their paper a week later. Almost every staff member has a specific job. Every year brings new members to the staff, new changes and ad- vancements toward a better paper. Back Row Cleft to rightl: S. Eberl, B. Sherwood, L. Bishoff, F. Henry, Kosinski, D. Pontzer, L. The Librarians, Club, which now has a membership of 45 members, is a very important and active group in our school. The two main purposes of this organization are to train stu- dent librarians who take care of the library dur- ing their study periods, and also to give those students who are interested in library work as a career an opportunity to get experience in this type of work. All members learn the layout of the library, how to catalog and charge-out books, and also how to repair the books. The care and display of the magazines and newspa- pers, too, are a part of the work of the faithful librarians who Hll the student Back Row Qleft to rightj: I. Buhite, V. Brunner, S. Eberl, B. Listening to guest speakers, sitting- in on classes, and attend- ing Parent-Teachers Meet- ings are a few of ways the members of this club get an insight on their chosen profession. This club also performs a school civic duty - it appropriately decorates its prominently placed bulletin board in such an eyecatehing way that no important state or national day or week goes by without due recogni- tion.
