FOREWORD Each of our school days has been a part of the intricate pattern of our lives and through each of them runs like fin silver threads memories of OUR COMMUNITY and OUR SCHOOL In these two unseparables Where We Lrve Our Lives Where We Obtain Our Educatuons and Where We Have Our Fun the bases for reaching our qoals in life have been fashioned Some of us will enter the industrial or business world short tions of specialized Instruction or higher education but the back ground for each will have been OUR COMMUNITY and OUR SCHOOL Their influence will be apparent In the type of adult citizens that we become and in the success that we have in achieving our private aims in life This yearbook of necessity presents a mere portion of the topics that we would have liked to have covered but It is the hope of the Elker Staff of 1957 that the common community sights pictures and the key school events recorded will brtng either poignant memories or slow smiles to all who have shared them and that they will also serve as our tribute to OUR COM MUNITY and OUR SCHOOL 6 ' : , ' 6 ' ll ' ' II Il ly after graduationg others will further their education at institu-
