In 1956, 65 green freshmen began their ninth year. There were 34 girls and 31 boys, who represented us well in the activities of that year. There were eleven on the honor roll for the first semester, five music contestants, and five playground directors. We elected Jerry Moye, president; Bob Abell, vice president; Bill Garrison, secretary; Mary Beth Brockett, treasurer; and Jane Givens, reporter. When school began in 1957, we found our former class had been reduced to 53 with a total of 25 boys and 28 girls. There were eleven on the honor roll for the first semester, seven music contestants, and three playground directors. We elected Roger Downey, president; Monte Hamilton, vice president; and Kay Dennison, secretary-treas- urer. In 1958, 25 girls and 22 boys began their third year of high school. We elected David Maloney, president; Sheila Kirby, vice president; Kay Dennison, secretary; and Ronnie Abell, treasurer. We were hosts and hostesses to the seniors at a prom with a theme of Dancing in the Park. Eight made the honor roll for the first semester. There were three music contestants and two playground directors. In 1959, we came back to our last year with 22 boys and 22 girls, making a total of 44. Our class elected Ronnie Abell, president; Sheila Kirby, vice president; Kay Dennison, secretary; and David Maloney, treasurer. There were two playground directors. Our sen- ior year was a very busy one, but we were all working toward a momentous graduation. by Jerry Moye
