DQ P in f Q I Charlene Woldan and Philip Ryan were very excited after many days of anxious waiting to find out that they had been chosen by the student body to be the Homecoming King and Queen of 19 56. Repre- senting the senior class were Andrea Bakken and Charles Meyer. The other underclassmen attendants were not kept in suspense as they had knovxm about it for twelve days. But when the big night arrived they were equally excited. They were chosen by their respective classes. The Junior attendants were Sharon Hove and Duane Harvey. Ramona Anderson and Darryl Spike Rue represented the Sophomore class, and Mary Jane Aga and Bob Meyer were Freshman at- tendants. Shortly before the event, Welcome Alumni and Welcome Notre Dame were assembled in big bold letters on the gym wall. The royal throne in the midfle of the bleachers had been decorated with black and white crepe paper. The Senior Class brought cake, which was served with coffee over in the church. A large crowd assembled in the gym and the crowning took place between the two games. Norvin An- derson, an alumnus of R.I-LS., acted as master of ceremonies. Amid the fanfare of Tommy Trytten's snare drum roll and Sandra Fjelstu.l's piano playing they marched to their respected places. Coach Bra- mer crowned the royal King and Queen. The Queen was presented with a bouquet of flowers from the business men of Ridgeway. The Queen and her attendants were then escorted to their throne to enjoy a thrilling basketball game with Notre Dame, in which they won in two overtimes by two points. A reception for the altunni was held in the church following the game, and a Sock Hop was enjoyed by the younger set in the gym. , l 6 The Royal Court I crown you . . g 4 I . -J I 1 5 in ' 'Hg I I 5 ' X 1 i A I
