At the head of the annual staff this year was 'Y Y Andrea Bakken. Sandra Fjclstul served as assis- I tant editor. Donald Hrdina was the photogra- pher and Kay Trytten was later appointed as another photographer. Thanks to Ferdie Armstrong, a new record was set in sales of ads and annuals. Andrea, Sandra. and Kay spent much time writing, typing, and pasting to complete the annual in time. Mr. Rober was our capable advisor. Thanks to these people the annual was com- pleted! it ' ff' Sm!! The Student Council began the new year with the election of officers. Representing them as president was Kay Trytteng vice-president, Marilyn Wcmarkg secretary, Linda Bakkcng treasurer JeRoy Fjelstulg and advisor for the year was again Mr. Rober. The first project that was undertaken was a Halloween party given in the fall, with lighted jack-o-lan terns and fall leaves serving as decorations. Bunco was played after which dancing was enjoyed by all feven the boysj. Lunch was then served in the church. The Student Council was in charge of the Christmas party. Christmas carols were stung by all and Mr. Shileny favored us with a violin solo, Santa Claus created quite a sensation with the women teachers. The members of the Student Council passed out the gifts. Another new project which the Student Council engaged in this year was a recreation project. Games, such as earroms, checkers, and cards were set up in the church to be enjoyed by students during their lunch hour. On April 5th a North Eastern conventioriwas held in Cedar Falls. Our school was represented by the of- ficers and some of the other members of the council. The delegates brought back many interesting facts and reported these to the other members. Another great step forward was taken when we joined the Iowa State Student Council Association. This enabled us to attend the convention and to receive several bulletins throughout the year.
