BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME Ambulance-Radio-Telephone-Oxygen Cresco, Iowa DAHLY CHEVROLET 211 Leif Eriksson Drive Decorah, Iowa The opening of the 1955-56 basketball sea- son showed the loss of5girls from the first team: Lor- raine, Gerry, Leona,Helen, and Norma. Determined to make good along with the rest of the girls were Sandy, Mary, Dclainc, Andrea, and Mavis, the re- turning lettermen. We entered the sectional tourney against great odds. Surprising everyone, we advanced past Proti- vin and Riceville. In our game with Riceville, Sandy tied the girls high score with 39 points which was held by Gerry Ryan. ln the finals we were defeated by Lime Springs and received the runners-up position. With the season completed, our records show the re- sults as 7 wins and 16 losses. We give special thanks to Coach Anderson in ap- preciation for all the effort he has put forth to help us. Thanks also to Bessie Snyder for her work as chaperone. Good Luck to the next year's team! Sectional Runners -up 1 Come on, now! let's get in there and hustle!
