JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY On the 29th of Ausust, 1949, a class of twenty three green but ambitious freshmen entered the halls of Ridveway High School On September 25, we were initiated bv the Juniors before we were acquainted with our new surroundings We all pulled through that year except Robert Soukup who left early in the first semester The followinv year Wilma Sanders and Vernon Falck did not return The are now attendinv school at Cresco Gavlon Gilbert son, from Decorah, joined us Joyce Ficher moved to Naterloo Eugene Albers and Frank Samec left us in the first semester for farm work Near the end of the vear Earl Crever also left us, and Stanlev Baker of Canton joined us In our Junior year, fourteen of us returned Clement Donlon and Gilman Tannen did not return because of farm work William Svlvanus went to Decorah High School and Betty Betts went to Cresco September 7, we prooerlv initiated the freshmen, Mr Faber and all new students Seotember l4 and October 26, the Juniors soonsored a roller skating party at which everyone had a lot of fun November 28 The members of our class are verv active in extra curricular activities They are as follows Band Carole Lusson, Frank Hrdina, Marvin Beraan, Ardith Benson, Iou Ann Gunhus, Shirley Sanderson, Harlan Amundson, Gaylon Gilbertson, and Dolores Huhe Peg Band Shirley Sanderson, Frank Hrdina, Ardith Benson, Dolores Huhe, and Carole Lusson Girls Glee Club Janelle Kuntz, Carole Lusson, Ardith Benson, Ecu Ann Gunhus, Shirley Sanderson, Dolores Huhe, and Loretta Blackburn Girls Basketball Carole Lusson, Janelle Kuntz, Lou Ann Gunhus, Coretta Blackburn, and Ardith Benson Bo s Basketball Marvin Berman, Joe Frana, Gaylon Gilbert son, Frank Hrdlna, and Stanley Baker Baseball Norman Harvey, Gaylon Gilbertson, Joe Frana, Frank Hrdina, and Stanley Baker Declam Carole Lusson, Janelle Kuntz, Loretta Blackburn, Joe Frana, Marvin Bervan, Harlan Amundson, Gaylon C lbertson and Norman Harvey CLASS OFFICERS President .....
