Z7-Cf? , J' As Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senior Class, Jeff has shown much involvement at Ridgeway. He has participated in the following sports: cross-country, basketball. and baseball since his sophomore year. As ajunior, Jeff was captain ofthe basketball B-team, and as a senior, he was also a member of the football team. He was inducted into the National Honor Society in the eleventh grade. Jeff was on the Orange Pea! staff as ajunior and senior, and was a member of the French Club in his sophomore year. Marable X sv R k Captain of the girls basketball team, Liz proved to be an out- standing athlete. ln her freshman and sophomore years Liz made the All-District team and was chosen Most Valuable Player. She also participated in cross country and the track team in herjunior year. During her sophomore,junior. and senior years Liz was voted Most Athletic in her class. Tina Raglan As a graduatingjunior. Tina has participated in many activities here. Tina held the office of secretary of her sophomore class. She was voted Most Spirited in Who's Who in l0th grade also. Tina was a B-team cheerleader. and this year she was a Varsity cheer- leader. During this past year, she was inducted into the National Honor Society, and was named Most Charming in Who's Who of the Senior Class. ln tenth rade, Tina was her homeroom's stu- dent council representative. ghe also was a member of the track team in her freshman and sophomore years. Ricky contributed a great deal to Ridgeway's sports programs. He plarvled football and baseball for three years and track for two years. e was chosen Most Attractive in his sophomore year and Most Flirtatious in hisjunior year. Ricky was also a member of the Orange Peal staff his senior year.

As editor of the Chaparral, Lida showed real leadership ability. Along with being elected as Vice-President of the National Honor Society, Lida graduated as Valedictorian of the Senior Class. She was a member of the French Club, Library Club, and Speech Club. She directed and particilpated in some Lunchbox Theaters. As a member of the Speech C ub, she participated in many speech tour- naments and won some trophies. In er junior year, Lida was elected as a Girl's State Representative and chosen as the first alternate in the Miss Chaparral Pageant. In her senior year, Lida received the honors of Best Performance in the Talent Show and Teenager of the Week. 'LTP ay Youtnts , Clay showed his outstanding athletic ability by participating in baseball, football, and track. He became captain of the football and track teams his senior ear. He was chosen to Who's Who for three consecutive years. Cray was also a member of the Science club and treasurer for the Student Council. Jay Kal ,y r Chief photographer for the Orange Peal and Cha arral, Jay has accomplished much during his senior high years. file has been a member of the annual and newspaper staffs, and has been involved in the Science and Spanish Clubs. As a junior, Jay was inducted into the National Honor Societ ,and as a senior, he is treasurer of the Society. Jay was vice-president of his junior class. As a senior, he was voted Most Likely to Succeed. Jay is also a National Merit Finalist, and he has been his homeroom's Student Council Representative in his sophomore and senior years. f Cherri Smith As Secretary of the Senior, Junior, and Sophomore Class, Cherri was a member of the Honor Society, the Orange Peal, the Science Club, and the basketball and track teams. She was also voted Miss Sophomore. Miss Junior, and Miss Ridgeway by her classmates. During her senior year Cherri was voted football homecoming queen. She was the captain of the Varsity cheerleaders.

National Merit Finalist Kath n Sims has contributed much to Ridgeway over her past years rhere. She was inducted into the National Honor Society in her sophomore year, and as a senior she has held the office of secretary of the Society. She was a member of the French. Latin, Library, and Science Clubs. During herjunior year, Kathryn attended Girl's State. Starting as a staffer for the Orange Peal as ajunior, Kathryn was named co-editor of the paper as a senior. As Senior Scholar. Kathryn also holds the title of Salu- tatorian of the Senior Class. T Q. A v 11? 1 e t lk A - I s E Johnny Walker , -3 Senior Class President Johnny Walker contributed a tremendous amount to several programs at Ridgeway in the sports program for three years and track for two years. He was a member of the Art Club, FHA. Honor Society, Orange Pea! staff, and the 750 club. His classmates chose him as Best Citizen as a sophomore, Most Talented as a junior. and Most Courteous as a senior. During his high school years he held the offices of President of the Art Club, Captain of the football team, and Captain of the track team. His honors included Most Improved in track, Best Offensive Lineman, All-Memphis. and All-District football. Johnny was also Teenager of the Week. 'Jim Nelson has been a major part of the track protgram during his years at Ridgeway. As a senior Jim was awar ed the J.B. Mic aels Scholar Athlete Award. Jim has been ca tain of the track team since the llth grade. Jim placed in both tlie Regional and State comgetition in t e Decatha on. As ajunior he won the Most Valuable layer award. Jim has also been a member of the Varsity football team since his sophomore year. Besides athletics Jim has been a member of the Latin and Science Clubs. As a sophomore, Jim was inducted into the National Honor Society. He was a so h- omore class homeroom student council representative, and Jim was president of his Junior Class. Sharpe Jackie was a very active student at Rid eway. She participated in the French and Science Clubs. She serves as president of her soph- omore class and vice-president of the Student Council her senior year. She was selected as cheerleader for two consecutive years. Jackie was chosen for the National Honor Society her senior year.
