Winning Season for Junior High Football The l978 football season proved to be a successful one for Ridgeway Junior High team. Coach Clary, assisted by Coach House, guided the team to six wins, a record for the most victories of a Ridgeway Junior High team. Strong leadership was demonstrated by the Freshman players. Keith Mullen was the leading rusher. Keith rushed for 288 yards, an average of 4.7 yards per game. Jeff Wyatt was the team's leading receiver with eight receptions. The leading tackler was Trevlyn Brooks with an average of nine unassisted tackles per game. Jr. High Football Homecoming The Jr. High Homecoming game was the last game of the year. The mighty Roadrunners defeated the Hillcrest Vikings by the score of 27 to 0. During half- time, Becky Boyd. the I977 Queen. crowned the new Football Homecoming Queen. Lisa Had- dock. The other members of the court were Lisa Lee. Kyra Mckin- ley. Sherri Robinson, and Kim Johnson. The Ridgeway Junior High Roadrunners' spirit led the team to its fourth shut-out.
