Dev Butler played the all-knowing Stage Manager for which he received the best actor award. Edie Crawford. Doug Elting. Joanna Burke, and Chris Hancock have a family talk as members of the Webb family. Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN Edie Crawford played the role of Emily Webb during the night performance. Dev Butler, Tom Jackson, Steve Bamette, Beth Caron, Wayne Snyder, Doug Elting. Jackie Holmes, Scott Bryant, and David Densford. 4th Row, L. to R.: Steve Billings, Johnny Walker, Stan Weaver, John Gatti, and Marty Katz. This year, the Speech and Drama Department decided to do the Thomton Wilder play, Our Town. This play was the most appropriate for the dept. to per- form. The play took place on Thursday May l0 in the audito- rium. There were two perform- ances, one during the day and one that night. For the more than fifty people involved in the show, it was a time to learn many aspects of how to put on a play as well as having lots of fun doing it. Joanna Hunter, Stan Weaver. Robin Vallaincourt, and David Densford had the roles of the Gibb family. 4 Mary Van Deren was cast in the role of Emily during the day performance. Todd Carpenter. and Scott Joyner. One aspect of Our Town is the lack of set. Here. the audience sees both the Gibbs and Webb households at the same time. Simon Stimson. the drunkard, fMark Bentonl is given an evil eye by Dr. Webb tDoug Elt- ingl. Here, George lDavid Densfordl and Rebecca Gibb Uoanna Hunterj discuss their busy days. Because of the various roles in the show, the Junior high had par- ticipants as well as the Senior High.
