Spirit Week Witches, goblins, and cats started off the l978 Spirit Week. Tuesday Ridgeway students showed their class by wearing their finest attire to school. Everybody wore some- thing to distinguish his graduating class on Wednesday. Sophomore unknown comics, Junior cops and robbers, and the I979 Seniors, wear- ing hats and sunglasses, filled the halls. Thursday, spirit was exhibited by wearing our sc ool colors of blue and orange. Denise Hayes and Andy Reynolds received the award for wearing the best blue and orange. Thursday night during halftime Cherri Smith was named the l978 Homecoming Queen while the sen- iors rejoiced over winning the hall decoration contest. The culmination of Spirit Week was our Homecom- ing Dance, featuring Eclypse, held in the gym. Top Left: Lida, Johnny. and Patrice. Top Right: Sophs working on their hall. ROYAL FOLLIES - A BIG SUCCESS This year's Talent Show held on February 8th turned out to be a great success. The show was filled with singers and dancers. The Varsity Cheerleaders performed a pom-pom routine to Ease on Down the Road. Also, Jill Dennis was crowned as this year's Queen of Hearts. While thejudges were making their decisions, last year's winners Bob Glenn and Kevin Adams performed. Bob played an original song on the guitar, while Kevin sang Soul Man. Then the exciting part of the show - the announc- ing ofthe winners! Lida Grant was named Best Per- former for her recitation to The Impossible Dream. She was accompanied by Kathryn Sims on the piano. Karen Healy, Beth McLeod, Mark Mullen, and Stan Weaver were named Most Talented for their singing of two songs written by Beth and Stan. The Most Entertaining act was John Gatti and Clay Younts doing a pantomine of No-Hit Karate. This year's Talent Show turned out to be a fun-filled program for everybody who performed and watched.
