Spirit Week Witches, goblins, and cats started off the l978 Spirit Week. Tuesday Ridgeway students showed their class by wearing their finest attire to school. Everybody wore some- thing to distinguish his graduating class on Wednesday. Sophomore unknown comics, Junior cops and robbers, and the I979 Seniors, wear- ing hats and sunglasses, filled the halls. Thursday, spirit was exhibited by wearing our sc ool colors of blue and orange. Denise Hayes and Andy Reynolds received the award for wearing the best blue and orange. Thursday night during halftime Cherri Smith was named the l978 Homecoming Queen while the sen- iors rejoiced over winning the hall decoration contest. The culmination of Spirit Week was our Homecom- ing Dance, featuring Eclypse, held in the gym. Top Left: Lida, Johnny. and Patrice. Top Right: Sophs working on their hall. The first stop was in Atlanta, Ga., where a tour was taken of the Cyclorama, Downtown Atlanta and the magnifi- cent Stone Mountain. Next, in Charleston, S.C., a tour was taken of the harbor and the beautiful old city. Ready for some Florida sunshine, the trip detoured to Daytona Beach for some fun in the sun. Disney World in Orlando, may not have been historic, but it was fun, fun, fun. While tour- ing St. Augustine the students saw Ripley's Believe lt or Not and the Fountain of Youth. Before returning to Memphis, stops were made in Columbus, Ga. and the famed Plains, Georgia. 'li N if Q Q
