RIDGE Y O Europe Trip On December 26, 1979 a group of twenty excited students gath- ered at Memphis International Airport with Coach Conn and Miss Yates leading the way. After arriving in Amsterdam eight hours later we boarded our pri- vate bus and took a short tour of the city. Then on to Belgium where we spent our first night in a youth hostel. During the next eleven days the group traveled through Luxem- burg, along the Mosell Valley, and Switzerland. We saw several of Rembrandt's originals, wind- mills, castles, and cathedrals, which were all very impressive. On our safe return everyone was looking forward to seeing his family and friends. The first stop was in Atlanta, Ga., where a tour was taken of the Cyclorama, Downtown Atlanta and the magnifi- cent Stone Mountain. Next, in Charleston, S.C., a tour was taken of the harbor and the beautiful old city. Ready for some Florida sunshine, the trip detoured to Daytona Beach for some fun in the sun. Disney World in Orlando, may not have been historic, but it was fun, fun, fun. While tour- ing St. Augustine the students saw Ripley's Believe lt or Not and the Fountain of Youth. Before returning to Memphis, stops were made in Columbus, Ga. and the famed Plains, Georgia. 'li N if Q Q
