Ms 4 Rifle Team Shoots Their Way to the Top During an award ceremony on May 14, 1979, at the Board of Education, team captain, Cadet Major Reid accepted the 4th Bri- gade Rifle Championship trophy for the third time in four years. Cadet Major Reid also received awards for maintaining the high- est average in the city and in the Brigade. The team recorded a perfect season with twelve wins and no losses in the league com- petition. , J Ridgeway s R.O.T.C. Battalion When the Director of Instruc- tions compared all 28 ROTC Units based on all competition, Rid ewa finished in the top thin? for the school year 1978-79. On the major inspections this year, the Roadrunner Battalion received a score of 97.13 on the DA1, and a 93.40 on the Federal Ins Inspection. In October 1978, Kim Roy was voted the ROTC Queen and Bar- bara Crawford was voted the alternate. On November 11, 1979, the Ridgeway Battalion Staff Officers, Drill Team Members, ROTC Queen, and Alternate marched in the Veteran's Day Parade. ROTC Staff Sitting Left to Right: LTC.
