Boys' Golf Team Has a Successful Season The boys' golf team finished the season sixth in their district, winning four and losing one game. First Year Softball Team Wins Second in District' This was the first year for an organized girls' softball team at Ridge- way. With an impressive record of 9-5, the team finished 2nd in a field of 8 MIAA teams. This record was achieved through team effort and the coaching abilities of Sgt. Sims. The girls' softball team was also runner-up in the district. The outstanding team players were Mary Marable, Kelly Novak and Fonda Phillips, who made the All-District team for l978-79.
