“CLASS HISTORY NOW THAT WE HAVE REACHEO OUR GOAL OF GRADU- ATION, WE CAN LOOK BACK ON OUR SCHOOL WORK WITH PLEASURE,ALTHOUGH IT SEEMED DIFFICULT AT TIMES. AFTER GETTING BETTER ACQUAINTED IN THE FALL OF '46 WITH FELLOW STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, WE CHOSE THE FOLLOWING AS OFFICERS FOR O.UR FIRST • YEAR:: PRESIDENT, KENT RUFFER; VICE PRESIDENT, Marilyn Timm; Secretary, victor miller; Treas- urer, Ramon Zimmer; and as adviser, mr. Miller. AT THE END OF THE SECOND MONTH, THE SOPHOMORES INITIATED US, AS IS THE CUSTOM. In our Sophomore year we had the taks of EDITING THE HI STEPA. THE EDITORS WERE JANE CONWAY AND ROGER El CHER. The PLEASURE OF PLAN- NING the Freshman initiation was granted us, AFTER WHICH THE FRESHMAN CLASS GAVE US A RETURN PARTY. UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF ARTHUR HESTERMAN, OUR CLASS SOLD REFRESHMENTS AT THE BASKETBALL GAMES. THE CLASS OFFICERS OF THE YEAR WERE: President, jane Conway; vice President, Arthur HESTERMAN; SECRETARY, LAURA MILLER; TREASURER, MARILYN TIMM; AND ADVISER, MR. SCHLOTTERBECK. One of the most exciting moments in our jun- ior YEAR WAS THE DAY WE RECEIVED OUR CLASS RINGS, AFTER WAITING FOR THEM IMPATIENTLY. THE NAME OF OUR PLAY, WHICH WE CHOSE, WAS ’’TREE Points inn . we entertained the seniors with a BANQUET, MAY 11. THE DECORATIONS WERE A SCENE OF THE MGAY NINETIES . THE OFFICERS OF THE YEAR were: President, jane Conway; vice President, Kent Ruffer; Secretary, Laura Miller; treas- urer, Marilyn Timm; and adviser, miss Heilman. IN THE FALL OF '49, TWENTY-EIGHT STUDENTS RETURNED TO GRADUATE. AT OUR FIRST CLASS MEET- ING, WE ELECTED THE FOLLOWING OFFICERS; PRESI- DENT, JANE CONWAY; VICE PRESIDENT, KENT RUFFER; Secretary, Phyllis dehnbostel; Treasurer, Laura MILLER; AND ADVISER,MR. HESTERMAN. THE ANNUAL KEPT US BUSY FOR SOME TIME, ESPECIALLY OUR EDI- TORS, jane Conway and Kent Ruffer. we presented A PLAY may 5, WHICH WAS ENJOYED BY ALL, AND THE BANQUET, WHICH THE JUNIORS GAVE US, WILL BE A LONG REMEMBERED EVENT.
