A. Dill- ard and Mrs. M. S. Mitchell, both of whom are ably assisted by Miss L. Y. Washington as accompanist in practices, is doing a type of Work of which the school is proud. The club fills engage- ments for the various Churches and organizations in Hickory. The school takes its greatest pride in its Glee Club from the fact that it is a training institution for the future members of the various Church choirs of the City. The members of the Glee Club this year are: Zenobia Cornelius, Catherine Brown, Louise Hoover, Marie Moore, Ida Finger, Celia Bhinehardt, Virginia Barbour, Mary Gabriel, Ruth Caldwell, Eliza- beth Bhinehardt, Alline Bhinehardt, Vivian Corjpening, Cozella Cowan, Bessie Warlick, Gladys Sudderth, Modestine Robinson, Florence Cul- breath, Portia Derr, Ruth Hull, Riller Hill, Rebecca Finger, James Dula, John Morrison, Champ Warlick, Irving Bost, Shuford Hull, John Guest, King Lutz, Bruce Blackburn, Hubert Sherrill, James Monroe, Tendrous Carson, George James, Benjamin Derr, George Harshaw and Roddy Jenkins. i g 1? ll . w 114 M , , 14 4 I 1 S!
