Tbe Kaleidoscope In the unpredictable pattem of a kaleidoscope, as freshmen in 1975, we entered R. lVl. H. S. Each person represented a unique crystal, the hidden facets reflecting latent talent and ingenuity. The hope that one day the colors would brighten, that the future would be less desperate, seemed to be only a dream. In our first year, filled with anxiety, we searched for answers. The colors were scattered on a page, without form. In our sophomore year, the pattem brightened. We found some answers. The kaleidoscope began to turn. Strong friendships were found beneath shimmering surfaces. We revealed our true colors through our friends and teachers. Together, we discovered knowledge. The bits and pieces were attracted, forming an ephemeral profile, as we collaborated with our ever congenial class advisor, Mr. Edward Kelly, whose radiance added unexpected flashes of brilliance to the ever brightening collage representing our progress. Junior year-a time of turmoil, scholastically and socially. Abilities that were hidden surfaced, shimmering with intensity. September 1978-our senior year. We faced new decisions and challenges for the future, the intensities of which forced us into a new brilliance as a graduating class. We worked together. We laughed together. Sometimes, we cried together. The Class of 1979, proud to have participated in a pattern for a new life, says good-bye. We are individuals, yet we are one. Let us treasure the kaleidoscopic colors of our memories forever. Faced with the new decisions and challenges of the future ,the anxieties of which forced us into new configurations, we were at last able to fix the final outline of our high school experiences in the form of this now static kaleidoscope which we offer as the end sheets of our EPILOGUE.
