Members of the Class of 1959 My congratulations to the first class to graduate from Memorial High School. It is not many of us who are privileged to cut the path and to aid in establishing new procedures - new traditions - and new goals. You as members of the Class of 1959 have made contributions as individuals and as a class to the total achievements of our new high school, Indicative of such accomplishments are this attractive and long to be cherished yearbook - 'The Epilogue. ' Those of us who will remain following your graduation are going to watch your future growth and achievements as you pursue further education or seek your places in the vocational world. We remember the accomplishments of youth down through the years - Gallileo was only eighteen when he discovered the principle of the pendulum by observing a swinging lamp in the cathedral in Pisa, Elizabeth Barrett Browning knew Greek and Latin at twelve, Lafayette was general of the whole French army at twenty, Hence, we commend you -and challenge you to strive to produce up to your capacity. By your continued successes we know that you will also set the pattern as proud alumni of Ridgefield Memorial High School and members of the first graduating class. Sincerely, Dr. C.
