F oreword This year was basically the same as any high school year: we studied- had fun, experienced sad moments of trial and error. School friendships began, flourished, and sometimes died. There were games and dancesg slumber parties and picnicsg voices were hoarse from Spuddette rooting and singing. There were moments of glory for some of us in sports, music and drama. All shared the hopeless reality of examinations and deadlines, the semester gradesg the noontime rush. These impressions are only a few that were packed into this full year. Credit for the production of this book goes to the Oralue Staff. The Staff, however, has furnished only the outlines of the story that we find when we turn these pages filled with warm smiles of friendship and many happy recollections. The rest is up to the individual. Underclassmen who return to RHS in the fall will continue to keep up the high standards of the school and strive for even greater improvement. Graduates will go their separate ways using the knowledge and experience gained here to reach their successes. It is not today that we will appreciate the ORALUE. Tomorrow, when it is not so easy to think back on l967, we will treasure the memories this book has stored for us. o 3

We realized more than ever before how much she means to us when she worked at the grade school for a short time this year. As an expression of our appreciation, We Wish to dedicate the 1967 Oralue to Mrs. LaRene Wray. In order that other students may benefit from her friendship, We hope Mrs. Wray will be a part of Ridgefield High School for many years to come. 5
