FOREWORD May we, the class of 1967, offer this yearbook as a symbol of united endeavor toward the attainment of perfect achievements. For we believe as Emerson . . . When Duty whispers low, 'Thou must,' the youth replies, 'I can.' i To you, Mr. Baldwin, whose footsteps we have followed, to you, who has been a steadying influence for both the ath- lete and scholar, to you, who has instituted new and chal- lenging ideas, to you, who has inspired us to meet our as- signed commitments, to you, who has shown a constant interest in our activities, we earnestly dedicate this, our 1967 BULLDOG. 2 FACULTY SENIORS JUNIORS SOPHOMORES FRESHMEN CLASSES ACTIVITIES SPORTS As new and old students enter the halls of RTHS, they feel the invisible presence of those who have gone before. We live in a changing world, but RTHS is unchangeable. The glory of our Alma Mater comes from those who have earned recognition in the fields of athletics, musical arts, and scholastic achievements. We are proud of our school . . . %'DMINISTRA TION GEORGE R. HARRIGAN, PRINCIPAL Each of several tasks must be accomplished by our students as they grow up. If they are not ac- complished in the adolescent years, society punishes more or less severely those who have not been taught, or have refused to learn. It is the hope of your school that you will see the need to develop skills and understanding, as well as attitudes that will mold you into intelligent and pro- ductive members of the community, state, nation, and of the world. 6 SEATED left to right: John Land, Jim Stevenson, Bill Mainord, Ike Lewis, Dale Larrance, Max White, Lyman Furnish. BOARD OF EDUCA TION We, the Senior class, extend our most heart-felt thanks for your time rendered un- selfishly in order to insure us a well-rounded education. 7 FACULTY ESTHER BROWN Commerce Publicity Chairman Illinois State Normal University, B.S. At right is Mrs. Susanna Burd, school librarian. A TRIBUTE TO CHARLES L . VOORHEES He came to us as a stranger, but by the time of his passing, he had gained the con- fidence of all. Although his days with us were few, his accomplishments were many. A friend to everyone, he still commanded the respect of the entire student body and fulfilled the duties of his office with dignity. Not only the school, but also the com- munity, suffered a great loss in his passing. We must always attempt to maintain the high standards that he set by his towering example in order that we may prove worthy of knowing him and preserving his memory. Therefore, in appreciation of his efforts, the graduating Class of 1966 presents this memorial in remembrance of MR. CHARLES L.
